People: Sarb reappoints deputy for second term; Central Bank of Kenya looking to replace board

Parliament has nominated five members of the Central Bank of Kenya's board

South Africa: Francois Groepe has been reappointed for a second term as deputy governor at the South African Reserve Bank (Sarb), by order of president Jacob Zuma.

Groepe is one of three deputies at the bank. He will continue to be a member of Sarb's executive management team, as well as sitting on the monetary policy committee.

Groepe joined the central bank in 2011, from an accounting background, having served as chief financial officer at Media24 before being appointed chief executive in 2008
