People: Bank of Finland appoints head of monetary policy; Cleveland branch gets new vice-president
Finland: The Bank of Finland yesterday appointed Tuomas Välimäki as head of monetary policy and research, after his predecessor Tuomas Saarenheimo agreed to move to the ministry of finance.
Välimäki joined the bank in 1995, and since 2010 has served as the head of market operations within the banking operations department. He has also been a visiting expert at the European Central Bank.
