Report on bank’s performance critiques climate mandate, loss of purchasing power

The European Parliament today (February 11) approved its annual report on the European Central Bank’s performance in 2024.
The report was prepared by the parliament’s committee on economic and monetary affairs. Its author, Anouk Van Brug, is a Dutch politician representing the conservative-liberal People’s Party for Freedom and Democracy, which is part of the Renew Europe group in the parliament.
Record-low support for mixed reportThe report was adopted by a small majority of 61%, with 378 votes
