Financial literacy of Italians below G20 average – Bank of Italy
Less than half of survey respondents are able to calculate a simple interest rate
The financial literacy of the Italian population is below the average of G20 countries, according to a survey carried out by Bank of Italy.
Measuring the financial literacy of the adult population: the experience of Banca d’Italia says fewer than half of respondents were able to calculate a simple interest rate. The survey included 2,500 interviews, 40% of them conducted face-to-face while the rest used a tablet to record their answers.
