Robert Campos Neto said central bankers must steer clear of politics and try to get on with their technical job on July 2, speaking at the European Central Bank (ECB) forum in Sintra, Portugal.
The governor of the Central Bank of Brazil (BCB) made the comments two weeks after Brazil’s ruling party launched legal action accusing him of politicisation.
