US bank lobbying spending increases sharply in Q2

ABA and ICBA increased their spending by 132.6% and 264% respectively between quarters

US banking associations strongly increased their lobbying spending in the second quarter of the year.

Based on financial disclosures to US legislators, the American Bankers Association spent $2.44 million, an increase of 132.6% from the previous quarter’s $1.83 million. The Independent Community Bankers of America spent more than $2.34 million, up by 264% from the first quarter.
