Carney to co-chair World Bank investment panel
“Investment Lab” tasked with overcoming barriers to investment, including in climate finance
The World Bank has appointed former Bank of England governor Mark Carney and Prudential chair Shriti Vadera to lead efforts to bring more private financing to emerging market economies (EME).
On July 11, the World Bank named fifteen chief executives and chairs who will make up its Private Sector Investment Lab, including the heads of BlackRock and HSBC. Carney and Vadera will co-chair the panel.
