Policy-makers need to be more aware of the distributional impact of policies, the chair of the International Monetary and Financial Committee, Agustín Carstens, has said.
Speaking on the sidelines of the International Monetary Fund's annual meeting in Washington, Carstens advocated a "three-pronged approach" to reactivating growth – accommodative monetary policy in advanced economies, the use of fiscal space and ambitious structural reform.
