BIS unveils new data portal

Bank will hold training courses for journalists wishing to access statistics

The Bank for International Settlements launched a new data portal for all its statistics today (November 22).

The BIS said the portal uses new technologies to allow users to examine data and metadata, and export them into different formats. It allows users to check international and country-specific data on topics like international banking, securities, property prices, consumer inflation and exchange rates.

From January next year, the BIS will only publish its statistics on the portal, and

Only users who have a paid subscription or are part of a corporate subscription are able to print or copy content.
