Pressure in the Danish labour market becoming ‘more evident’
All spare resources in the labour market have already been used, report says
A report published by the National Bank of Denmark warns that "all spare resources in the labour market have already been used", with signs of mounting pressures beginning to show.
The bank's third-quarter monetary review notes from the fourth quarter of 2012 to the second quarter of 2016, employment rose by 105,000 people. "By the fourth quarter of 2018, it is expected to have risen by a further 50,000," the report says. This would be the fourteenth consecutive quarter with rising employment.
