The Central Bank of Honduras published a notice on March 23 warning the public to discount reports that Honduras would make bitcoin legal tender.

The BCH’s notice appeared to be its fourth such announcement since January 2018. It appears to follow a dubious claim by a US social media enthusiast who describes himself as a journalist.

The Central American country is a neighbour of El Salvador, which made bitcoin legal tender last year.
