Bundesbank unveils blockchain settlement system

The Deutsche Bundesbank presented a functional blockchain-based securities settlement system prototype on November 28, in partnership with Deutsche Börse.

The prototype is designed to provide the technical functionality for the settlement of securities in "delivery-versus-payment mode" for centrally issued digital coins, the bank said in a statement.
