Fiji launches $7 varnished banknote
Reserve Bank issues commemorative note to celebrate rugby sevens squads
The Reserve Bank of Fiji revealed an unusual $7 commemorative banknote on March 26. The note marks the victories by Fijian women’s and men’s rugby sevens teams at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
The $7 note is the RBF’s second commemorative currency in this denomination. The first, brought out in 2017, celebrated the men’s rugby sevens team’s gold in the 2016 Rio Olympics.
