Decentralised tech will not become the new normal – SNB’s Jordan

The chairman of the Swiss National Bank (SNB) has said he does not believe decentralised technology – such as distributed ledgers (DLs) – will become the "new normal".

Thomas Jordan, who spoke at Swift's Sibos conference on September 26, said many existing financial market infrastructures, which are built on "conventional, centralised" models, are already low-cost and meet high safety standards.
