ECB's Mersch considers hurdles to single payments area for cards
Standardisation, security and interoperability ‘key issues’, ECB Executive Board member argues
European Union countries are "not there yet" in making the single euro payments area (Sepa) work for card payments, a European Central Bank executive board member said today (January 18). Yves Mersch was speaking at a Banque de France conference on card payments.
