Canada’s Carney wants an end to ‘global angst’

Mark Carney, governor of the Bank of Canada, on October 15 warned central bankers not to let uncertainty make them timid in their actions, as "global angst" is holding back economic growth.

Speaking at the Vancouver Island Economic Alliance in British Columbia, Carney said it is "only human to respond to uncertainty with caution", but in the current climate it pays to be quick and bold. In this respect, he praised the quantitative easing of the Federal Reserve and Bank of England.
