Governor of Bangladesh Bank discusses working population ratio

Atiur Rahman, the governor of Bangladesh Bank, today (February 28) delivered a speech titled ‘Creating More and Better Jobs in South Asia'.

Speaking in Dhaka at an event organised by the World Bank, the governor spoke about "making the most of the next 10 years". He celebrated the fact that in Bangladesh the "ratio of working age population to the total population is steadily rising due to the impressive progress we have made in fertility reduction".
