Kim opens new chapter for Bank of Korea

In his inaugural speech as governor of the Bank of Korea, Choongsoo Kim outlined a number of challenges towards building a new global financial architecture as Korea chairs the next G20 meeting.


In his speech, delivered on Thursday, Kim reaffirmed the central bank's core task as maintaining price stability but acknowledged the bank's supervisory role of preserving financial stability was "more important than ever before."
