A "helicopter drop" of money to households by the European Central Bank would have little impact on eurozone inflation expectations, a working paper published by the Netherlands Bank argues.
In Will helicopter money be spent? New evidence, Maarten van Rooij and Jakob de Haan present the results of a survey of more than 2,000 Dutch households. Participants were asked whether they would spend the money transferred to them by a "helicopter drop".
