Bank of England - Annual Report 2003

ANNUAL REPORT - The Bank of England has published its Annual Report for the year 2003. In his last foreword to the annual report Eddie George said the Bank did not appreciate fully the extent and speed of the changes it was about to experience - changes which have proved to be among the most dramatic in its history. He said there is now a realistic prospect of better balanced growth in the UK, at around trend over the next two years, with inflation falling back to target once short term
