Career banker joins executive board at Turkish central bank

Turkey: Murat Uysal has been appointed deputy governor at the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, filling the position left vacant by Turalay Kenç, whose term recently expired.

Uysal spent his career with various arms of Turkey's Halkbank, including positions as head of money and capital markets from 2007 to 2011 and chairman of the board of Halk Asset Management from 2012 to 2014. His most recent position, from 2014–2016, was chairman of the board of Halk Invest.

Uysal's appointment means
