Bank of Russia presents strategic plan for financial sector

Raft of measures include new practices in regulation and consumer protection

The Bank of Russia presented its first ever strategic plan for the development of the financial sector on December 2 – aimed at boosting growth in both the market and the real economy.

In an English language summary of the plan, the bank noted it was broken down into multiple fields: consumer issues, including financial inclusion and literacy; reforming regulators' approach to financial misconduct; and developing bond markets and syndicated lending.
