Turkey's year-on-year inflation fell in October despite upward pressures from the fall in the country's currency, according to a "summary" of the most recent meeting of the central bank's monetary policy committee, released on December 1.

Inflation in October was 7.58%, down from 7.95% in the previous month. In its meeting on November 24 the committee chose to keep its policy rate at its current level of 7.5%. The summary noted this was still considered a "tight" stance.
