RBNZ takes next step towards replacing settlement systems

The Reserve Bank of New Zealand (RBNZ) is looking for potential vendors to replace its payment and settlement systems, as it looks to develop a "roadmap" for the future of the country's market infrastructure.

It published a tender today (December 15) seeking registrations of interest from potential suppliers for a real-time gross settlement system and a security settlement system with a depository.

These would, if procured, replace the RBNZ's existing infrastructure, comprising the NZClear
