Armenia central bank chair wins second six-year term

Javadyan is set to lead Armenia's central bank until the decade is out

The chair of the Central Bank of Armenia (CBA), Arthur Javadyan, was handed a second six-year term at the top of the institution by the country's parliament in a vote on Wednesday.

Javadyan, 50, has been at the central bank since 1997, as a board member with two stints as adviser to the chairman, before becoming deputy chairman in 2003 and getting the top job in 2008.
