Bloomberg launches US dollar benchmark

Bloomberg yesterday released a US dollar benchmark that it says provides a new way to invest in the value of the dollar against major global currencies.

The Bloomberg US Dollar Index represents developed and emerging market currencies with the most liquidity and the largest US trade flows. Ten currencies are represented in the index, including the Chinese renminbi, the South Korean won, the Mexican peso and the Australian dollar.
