Fed to release new $100 bill in October after three-year delay
The US Federal Reserve will finally release its long-awaited new $100 note on October 8, 2013 – more than three years after the new design was unveiled.
The note, with upgraded security features was originally due to be released on 10 February 2011. However, problems with "sporadic creasing" of the paper meant the release date was postponed indefinitely.
The design contains two new security features: a 3-D ribbon, and a new image of a bell in an orange inkwell. The blue 3-D ribbon on the front
