Barbados celebrates central bank anniversary with new banknote
The Central Bank of Barbados has revealed that a commemorative 20 Barbados dollar banknote entered into circulation on August 15. The currency was introduced to mark the 40th anniversary of the institution.
The note has '40 years' written alongside the central bank's logo, and both are printed over the watermark area on the front of the banknote. A large '40' numeral, the annotation '40th Anniversary of the Central Bank of Barbados' and the dates '1972 – 2012' are featured on the other side.
