Euro project failed to deliver on convergence promise
The euro project did not deliver on its promise of convergence. On the contrary, The European Monetary Union (Emu) has created a split between core and periphery, said Costas Lapavitsas, professor in economics at the School of Oriental and African Studies at panel discussion, organised by the Research on Money and Finance (RMF) network, on December 9 in London. The session was titled "Breaking up? A route out of the eurozone crisis" and accompanying RMF's new report with the same title.
