Cyprus governor warns country has 'lost credibility'
Athanasios Orphanides, the governor of the Central Bank of Cyprus, on Monday warned the government that the country had lost its credibility as a consequence of the "serious fiscal deterioration" experienced over the last four years.
The governor lamented Cyprus' "complete exclusion" from international markets since May this year and said he wanted to contribute to the dialogue in relation to what measures needed to be taken to address the fiscal problems facing the country.
