Lagarde ready to get tough on Greece
Christine Lagarde, French finance minister and candidate for the next managing director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), said she is ready to tackle the eurozone crisis head on.
In her formal statement to the executive board of the IMF, released late on Thursday, Lagarde said she "will not shrink from the necessary candour and toughness" in discussions with European leaders.
