IMF managing director saga continues

The saga of Dominique Strauss-Kahn's departure from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the search for his replacement continued this week.

On Wednesday, Shakour Shaalan, an IMF executive director and the dean of the IMF's executive board, published an open letter to the New York Times newspaper rebuking it for an article it printed on Tuesday.

"I would like to correct an unfortunate misstatement in the article IMF Names Lagarde and Carstens as Contenders for Top Post," wrote Shaalan.
