Inflation may hit 5%, but we couldn’t have done it different: King
The Bank of England expects annual inflation in the UK to climb up to 5% this year, its quarterly Inflation Report, published on Wednesday, showed.
The path for annual inflation, which was on Tuesday revealed to be 4% in January – 0.3 percentage points higher than in December and double the Bank's target – had a "markedly higher" profile compared to its November projections, the Bank acknowledged. The central bank projected a sharper spike in 2011 – while the central band of its forecast range
