Iceland's Guðmundsson laments lack of progress in regulation

Iceland's central bank and regulator still lack the formal and legal structures necessary to properly oversee the country's banks, Már Guðmundsson, its governor, said in a television interview on Friday.

In an exchange confirmed by the central bank, Guðmundsson was asked whether there could be another unanticipated collapse in the financial system, to which he responded: "I think it is possible to see some signs [of a crash], but we certainly don't have the information we should. So yes, a bank
