Welteke - upside price risk diminished,not faded

Upside risks to price stability in the euro zone have diminished but the all-clear can't be given yet, Deutsche Bundesbank President Ernst Welteke said on Feb 20. "Risks for price stability have diminished but haven't yet disappeared," Welteke said.

Among others, upward price risks in the euro zone stem from the rise in food prices and, in Germany, from the last step of the ecological tax reform, Welteke said. Higher taxes on automobiles and energy, together with higher radio and television fees
