Belarus cbank cools on unification with Russia

Speaking at a press conference in Minsk today (20 March) The governor of the Belarusian National Bank, Pyotr Prakapovich, argued that monetary union between Russia and Belarus would not require the unification of the central banks.

The issue of creating the single monetary emission centre, which is the most controversial within the Belarusian-Russian union state, will not be finally settled till 2003.
