Russian and Iranian central banks sign agreement

Today, the central banks of Russia and Iran signed a collaboration agreement The agreement outlines cooperation between the banks in developing trade and economic cooperation between Russia and Iran.

The heads of the two central banks also signed a protocol of intent regarding collaboration in the opening of subsidiaries of Russian and Iranian commercial banks. Russian central bank chairman Victor Gerashchenko emphasised the agreement has nothing to do with the possible resumption of Russian
