Bush sends Fed nominees to Senate for confirmation
The White House said Bush nominated Kohn, the Fed's top staff official and one of Fed Chairman Alan Greenspan's most trusted aides, for a 14-year term ending 31 Jan, 2016, and Bernanke, who chairs the Princeton University economics department, to serve out a term that expires on 31 Jan, 2004.
