Centralised risk teams tend to have more sub-units

Size of central banks with climate change risk unit steadies at 12%

Risk management divisions with centralised frameworks are likely to operate with more sub-units than those with decentralised models, the Risk Management Benchmarks 2025 find.

Twenty-four (55.8%) of the 43 benchmark participants say they run a centralised risk management unit. The proportion of those with decentralised structure is 44.2%.
