Raskin echoes Bernanke in discussing ‘modest’ recovery

Sarah Bloom Raskin, a member of the board of governors at the Federal Reserve System, on March 1 backed up chairman Ben Bernanke's comments regarding the recovery of the US economy.

Speaking in Westport, Connecticut, she said the pace of economic growth since the 2007 financial crisis has been "modest relative to the type of cyclical rebound that we had experienced in the prior 60 years".

Raskin also talked about the impact accommodative monetary policy has on savers.
