Standard-setters update analysis of CCP network

Basel-based organisations find network has only shifted somewhat in the past year

The results of an updated network analysis of the linkages between central counterparties (CCPs) and their clearing members shows the network has only undergone limited changes in the past year.

Based on a “streamlined” data collection exercise, the study broadly confirms the results of earlier analysis published in 2017. Resources are concentrated in a small number of CCPs, which do most of their business with a small group of large counterparties, according to the Financial Stability Board
