Central Bank of Chile paper on non-copper export growth

A Central Bank of Chile paper published on Tuesday reviews Chilean performance of non-copper exports with an emphasis on determining the role of both the intensive and extensive margins in export growth.

Matías Berthelon, the paper's author, presents a detailed description of the evolution of non-copper exports from 1990 to 2007 and decomposes its evolution in terms of the intensive and extensive margins.

Berthelon notes that during the period, Chile experienced important export diversification
