US firm offers ‘value beyond investing’ to central banks as it helps them to navigate geopolitical risks while keeping reserves intact

Franklin Templeton manages around $26 billion for central banks spread across fixed income, equities and multi-asset portfolios. Its oldest mandate holds $2 billion in US mortgage-backed securities, while its account of Asian equities has HK$2 billion ($257 million). The fund manages $2.1 billion in emerging market debt, $3.7 billion in its global fixed income account and $1.2 billion in US Treasury inflation-protected securities.
